Most clients find non-laser removal more comfortable than they expected — many compare it to the original microblading rather than to laser. The area is numbed with a topical anesthetic before any work begins, and sensitivity settles quickly after each session.
What the session actually feels like
Every removal session at Aileen's Beauty starts with a topical numbing cream, given time to take full effect before anything else happens. The technique itself works in the same shallow layer of skin where the original tattoo was placed — most clients describe the sensation as scratching or light pressure rather than pain, and the active portion of the session is shorter than most people expect.
Afterward, the area typically feels warm and tight for a day or so — closer to a light sunburn than to a wound. Written aftercare comes with every session, and the skin then rests for four to six weeks before the next round.
Comfort is part of the method
The studio takes one guest at a time, so sessions are never rushed and numbing is never cut short. Everyone's sensitivity is different — skin that is freshly worked, sunburned or sensitized is discussed honestly at the assessment stage, sometimes with the recommendation to wait.
