The proprietary system
The Aileen Removal Method
Twelve steps, four movements, one artist. A system built around a single idea: the brow you keep matters more than the pigment we remove. It exists nowhere else, and it is the reason our results are documented rather than described.

First, the distinction
This is not saline removal.
Almost all non-laser brow removal offered in this area is saline removal, and the two words have become interchangeable. They are not the same. The Aileen Removal Method uses our own removal solution — chosen and used under Aileen’s certification, and available in one studio in Campbell.
What it shares with all non-laser work is direction. Laser shatters pigment inward with light energy and asks the body to carry the fragments away. Non-laser removal works the opposite way: the treated area is prepared so unwanted pigment lifts up and out through the surface as the skin heals, round after round, with the natural brow hair left where it is.

Understand
The Signal · The Reading · The Pigment Passport
Before anything is treated, your brows are read. Colour tells one story, depth tells another, and your healing history tells a third. You leave the consultation holding a map of your own pigment — where it came from, what it is made of, where it has been, and where it is going.
Commit
The Agreement · The Frame
You are given an honest range, never a promised number, along with what could move it and what cannot be guaranteed. Then a controlled baseline photograph is taken — same position, same light, same distance — so that every future comparison is real change rather than a trick of the light.
Work
The Preparation · The Session · The Seal · The Handoff
Sessions are deliberately conservative and end on a plan decided in advance. Doing more in one appointment does not shorten the process — it only asks more of skin that needs to heal cleanly. You leave knowing exactly what to do next, and why each instruction exists.
Verify
The Watch · The Reveal · The Crossroads
You hear from Aileen four times before your next appointment. At six weeks the true result is visible, photographed identically to your baseline and compared in front of you. Then a real decision is made together — including, when it is the honest answer, the decision to stop.
Skin first
Every rule here exists to protect your skin
Removal is not a race. The single most important discipline in this Method is restraint — because the fastest way to damage a brow is to try to finish it in one appointment.
So: sessions are deliberately conservative. Stop points are decided before the session begins, not in the moment. Your skin is given four to six weeks to heal fully between rounds, and that interval is not negotiable — the lifting continues while the skin renews, and the true result is only visible once healing completes. Any unexpected response ends the session immediately.
And when a brow shows existing scarring or compromised tissue, our starting position is to decline or refer rather than treat. Turning that work away costs us the booking. It is also the clearest proof we can offer that your skin comes before our calendar.
What we will never do is promise you an outcome no one can guarantee. Any procedure that works within the skin carries some risk of texture change — and a studio that tells you otherwise is telling you what you want to hear. Every risk is named in writing before a deposit is taken. That honesty is the Method.
Case classification
Not every brow is the same case
Every brow is graded before treatment and re-graded after every healed assessment. The level sets the pace, the expectations and the honest range you are given — which is why two people can be quoted differently for brows that look alike.
- 01Straightforward
- One known application. No cover-up, no laser, no previous removal. Clear edges, moderate saturation, healthy skin with a normal healing history. The most predictable category.
- 02Moderate
- Two or more applications, heavier saturation, blurred strokes, or work old enough to have shifted colour. Predictable, but longer — and the colour usually changes during the course before it clears.
- 03Complex
- Cover-up work, layered pigment, dense deposits, or strong white-pigment indicators. Hidden colour beneath the surface is likely to appear as the top layer lifts. We tell you this before you book, not when it happens.
- 04Laser history
- Any previous laser on the brow places a case here automatically, regardless of how it looks today. Laser can darken cosmetic pigment rather than lighten it, and it scatters particles to uneven depths. These cases begin with a conservative test session and a healed review before anything is promised.
- 05Compromised tissue
- Visible scarring, textural change, or repeated aggressive prior removal. Here our starting position is to decline or refer. This is the level where the right professional answer is most often no.
How we talk about evidence
You will always know how sure we are
Beauty is an industry full of confident claims. We label ours. Everything Aileen tells you sits on one of five levels, and she will tell you which one — so you know the difference between what is proven, what is likely, and what she has simply seen many times.
- 1 · Established
- Well-documented science — how skin heals, how UV affects healing skin, basic pigment chemistry.
- 2 · Documented
- Recognised in dermatologic practice, though less studied in this exact application — such as how cosmetic pigments behave under laser.
- 3 · Reasoned
- Biologically sound expectation, not directly demonstrated. We say so when we're reasoning rather than citing.
- 4 · Observed
- Patterns Aileen has documented across her own cases. Valuable, and clearly labelled as experience rather than research.
- 5 · Unknown
- Genuinely unsettled. There is limited published research on non-laser removal specifically, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.
“I’ll always tell you the difference between what’s proven, what’s likely, and what I’ve simply seen many times. That’s how you’ll know you can trust the rest of what I say.”
